Great Korean restaurant in the Waimalu area. I made a take out order at this place not expecting much but it was pretty good for the price and portion. I made an order for the meat jun and mandoo combo. For me this would be two meals. There was more than enough pieces of meat jun and the mandoo tasted homemade. It has a good crunch to it too. All was so flavorful and hot when I received it. The service was great, although it was only a take out order, the lady who took my order was really friendly and quick. There was a little wait but it was called for especially since it's made to order. The establishment is clean with seats for dine-in customers. It's a small but spacious restaurant. I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu.

We live in town and rarely would drive to Aiea for Korean food since our close proximity to Ke'eaumoku where all the "good" Korean food is located. However, after seeing this restaurant in many food bloggers IG feed, I made it a point to try this place and see what the fuss sis about. So you need to know how it hat this is a small restaurant that shares a tiny parking lot with Dave's Ice Cream so.. if the lot is full you're SOL like fo' realz. We showed up at 6:45 pm on July 4 but this place was packed, we were lucky to snag the last 2 top table. You have the option to walk up and order takeout from a menu on the wall or.. dine in. That's what we did. For some reason the air condition was either busted or it couldn't handle all the people and cooking so needless to say twas a bit warm so thank god we were in shorts and tank tops. So... the prices didn't shock me but also did at the same time. Each dish pretty much started at $19 and only went up from there. Not gonna lie... It got me nervous thinking we made a bad decision. But.... The food was bomb! Now I've dated Koreans, have had and grown up with many Korean friends and my sister in law is Korean so we are Filipinos that have been exposed to all the Korean foods good and bad. The portion size was pretty hearty. I ordered the barbecue chicken ( there's a spicy version) and I had 3 1/2 huge thigh pieces. Very well seasoned, not too sweet, not too salty or not dry from over marinating for too long. These juicy pieces came out cooked to perfection and had those grill marks and flavors of an actual bbq. My son ordered the meat juhn of course and that also came with 3 large pieces, pre cut ( I hate when it's not) also season well and cooked to perfection. I have a growing boy for can EAT and destroy a whole plate in 5 mins but he got full after eating 1/2 of his entree which I also stole a few pieces from. The sides were basic and as to be expected. The Kim chee could've been spicier to our liking and they gave 2 heaping scoops of rice. There was only 1 waitress and possibly only 2 people inter ack cooking.. we had a short wait to order but our food came out quickly and sizzling almost. This place will get my business for sure. I'm thinking the a try best time to come here and not have to fight for a parking spot or tank would be week nights or after lunch rush. I would give 5 stars but it was warm in there...
